Humanists UK is delighted to announce the appointment of its newest patron, Ralf Little. Little is a well-loved British actor who joins a stable of over 170 Humanists UK patrons with distinguished careers in the arts, literature, science, academia, politics, and community and civic activism.

Ralf Little is best known for his roles as Anthony Royle in the hit sitcom, The Royle Family, and as Jonny Keough in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps. He was recently cast as the new lead in hit crime drama series Death in Paradise.

As well as being among British television’s most familiar faces, Little is a London theatre regular and an Olivier Award nominee with a number of writing and production credits to his name, including his own comedy and chat show programmes. He has starred in a number of critically acclaimed films and written a novel – the proceeds of which were donated to homelessness charity, Shelter.

Little is also a keen footballer, having played for a number of semi-professional clubs throughout his career.

Humanists UK Chief Executive Andrew Copson commented:

‘It’s great to be able to announce Ralf as our newest patron. Ralf is a talented actor with a knack for bringing to life authentic characters across comedy and drama, and we are delighted to welcome him to Humanists UK.’
