We’re delighted to announce that Emma Bailie was named ‘Celebrant of the Year’ at the prestigious Northern Ireland Wedding Awards which took place at the Crowne Plaza Belfast last week.
These were the fifth Northern Ireland Wedding Awards but this was the first year that wedding celebrants were recognised in a specific category.
Liz, who was the highly commended runner-up at the ceremony told us, ‘We certainly put humanist wedding celebrants on the Northern Ireland map!’
Emma trained as a celebrant after her own humanist wedding and says:
‘It’s amazing to have the choice in how you wish that special day to be conducted! Being able to offer that experience to others is important to me. Having a tailored ceremony that reflects you both as a couple is truly wonderful.’
On winning the award, Emma said she was:
‘Really chuffed to bits and still surprised!
‘Thanks a million to all of the fabulous couples who nominated me.. you were my pleasure!
‘Big thanks to my friends and family who have supported me immensely with my celebrant journey including my little one and husband who have been very patient, considering my workload.’
