Testimonials

We need a spirit of optimism and a sense of the progress we’re making – and the Convention delivered it.

I loved the variety of the talks and sessions – not just specifically humanist topics.

Comedy was brilliant. Speakers were brilliant. Delegates were brilliant.

I enjoyed the high quality speakers who brought so many ideas and such understanding to us. I felt thrilled to belong to an organisation which takes action at the highest levels of politics and does so much work in so many fields. I enjoyed the sense of being with people who shared my values and were of similar mind. Thank you to all who organised it.

It’s like in the old days, when we used to read newspapers – when you turn the page, you’re not sure what you’re going to get. So it can be challenging and thought-provoking, but most of all it is an oasis of greatness in a world that is going absolutely mad.

For the first time in over a decade, Humanists UK Convention will visit London, our capital city, the centre of humanist thought for over two centuries, birthplace of the British Humanist Association in 1896, and home to almost one million people who identify as humanists.

Our venue for the Friday night comedy evening is Logan Hall, 20 Bedford Way, London WC1H 0AL, the home of our Darwin Day Lecture until 2018.

Our venue for the rest of the weekend is the Kia Oval, the home of Surrey County Cricket Club since its foundation in 1845.Ticket sales suspended
