At The Little Book of Humanism’s 'Little Book Launch', Alice and Andrew will read a selection of their favourite excerpts from the book and tease out their reasons for choosing passages for inclusion in a back-and-forth discussion, before closing off with questions from the audience.

About Alice Roberts
Professor Alice Roberts is an acclaimed anatomist, science writer, broadcaster, author, and President of Humanists UK.
During her career Alice has combined academia with broadcasting and has presented a wide range of biology and archaeology programmes on television, including a landmark series on BBC2, The Incredible Human Journey, as well as Origins of Us on BB2. She presents the long-running archaeology series Digging for Britain on BBC4, and Britain’s Most Historic Towns on Channel 4. She presented the 2018 Royal Institution Christmas Lectures, exploring identity from a biological, evolutionary and genetic perspective.
She is the author of a number of popular science books including The Incredible Unlikeliness of Being which was shortlisted for the Wellcome Book Prize 2015, as well as being the co-author of The Little Book of Humanism.
About Andrew Copson
Andrew Copson has been Chief Executive of Humanists UK since 2009, and is also the current President of Humanists International.
He has represented the humanist movement extensively on national television and radio, as well as writing for a number of national newspapers. He is the author of The Little Book of Humanism (2020) with Alice Roberts, of Secularism: Religion, Politics, and Freedom (Oxford University Press, 2019) as part of OUP's Very Short Introduction series, and edited The Wiley-Blackwell Handbook of Humanism (2015) with A C Grayling.
