The period commonly associated with sexual revolution in Britain-roughly between 1965 and 1970-saw what the historian Hera Cook calls an "astonishing pace of change". This talk will underscore the significance of this half of the decade, but will also look across the full post-1945 period and look at this sexual revolution in a wider context.
Dr Matt Cook is a Senior Lecturer in History and Gender Studies at Birkbeck College, University of London, and co-director of the RAPHAEL SAMUEL HISTORY CENTRE www.raphael-samuel.org.uk

The meeting will also report on activities around the world for IDAHO and particularly what is going on in London.

We will gather from 7pm (arrive early to get a good seat) at which point the bar should be open, with the event scheduled to start proper at 7.30pm.
