Join Humanist Students at our special two day celebration, Building our community, bringing together the new student members of Humanists UK.
Humanist Students launched last year with an offer of free membership, to ensure non-religious students are supported wherever there are universities. We’re now a growing movement of over 500 students and increasing every week. At Building our community, the first Humanist Students event of the year, we’ll be capitalising on this momentum to explore what community means to non-religious students and how we can come together as to make sure our voice is heard on campuses and beyond.
This is a great opportunity to meet other Humanist Students from around the UK, hear from exciting speakers, pick up some new skills, and get involved in interactive workshops.
Attendees will hear from leading human rights activists from the world of humanist and secularist campaigning, including including our keynote speaker, renowned writer and philosopher Dr Julian Baggini, Imtiaz Shams of Faith to Faithless; Andrew Copson, Chief Executive of Humanists UK; and Rabia Mirza from British Muslims for Secular Democracy. Sessions will cover all the skills you'll need to build effective student societies, run successful events, and campaign for a better society in the world after university.
This event is for members of Humanist Students only, and is free to attend. To attend, you must be a member of Humanist Students. Student membership is free; sign up now.
