With the legal recognition of humanist marriages and the recent weddings celebrant training, there couldn’t be a better time for the launch of the new Channel Islands Humanists. We’re celebrating with a special event in St Helier with Humanists UK Chief Executive Andrew Copson.

As well as Chief Executive of Humanists UK, Andrew is President of the International Humanist and Ethical Union and the author of the recent book from Oxford University Press, Secularism: politics, religion, and freedom. Introducing Andrew will be Deputy Louise Doublet, who spearheaded the recent campaign for legal recognition of humanist marriages in Jersey, and is a founder member of the new Channel Islands Humanists committee.
