We are delighted to officially launch Wales Humanists, with an event on Wednesday 30 November in the Senedd, Cardiff Bay.

Wales Humanists is the BHA section responsible for promoting Humanism and a secular state in Wales, working on behalf of non-religious people who seek to live ethical and fulfilling lives on the basis of reason and humanity.  This launch event marks the beginning of big things for us in Wales – including, we hope, greater representation and consideration of our perspectives on issues before the Welsh Assembly.

At this launch event we will introduce our key priorities for Humanism in Wales, specifically our education goals of Humanism being accorded equal status in the school curriculum and an end to the requirement for 'broadly Christian' collective worship in all state schools. It will also be an opportunity to learn about our other developments in Wales.

BHA Chief Executive Andrew Copson will be speaking, as will our Wales Humanists Development Officer, Kathy Riddick. We’ll be happy to field any questions you may have.
